BIO-ÖLWERK Magdeburg GmbH is located at the Hafenbecken II of the Magdeburg inland harbour so that the territory has a direct connection to the river Elbe and the Mittellandkanal (midland waterway). Crude oils are delivered by ship, and raffinates, biodiesel and rapeseed cake are discharged in the same way. We have three loading stations for oils and biodiesel plus one loading station for rapeseed cake.

Today we may serve inland vessels with a loading capacity of 1,000 metric tons and a draught up to 2.10 metres in our harbour facilities. After completion of current extension of the Mittellandkanal and the Elbe descent channel it will be possible to serve Euro-Ships with up to 2,000 metric tons of loading capacity and 2.50 metres of draught troughout the year.
