Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a renewable fuel that corresponds to mineral diesel fuel with it's product properties, but derived from vegetable oils, waste oils or animal fats.

Biodiesel can be used as fuel in diesel vehicles or as an environmentally friendly fuel in combined heat and power plants (CHP). In Germany, due to the "Biokraftstoffquotengesetz" (Biofuel Quota Act), the addition of biodiesel to conventional diesel with up to 7% (B7) is mandatory. If the biodiesel is used as pure fuel (B100), the release of the engine manufacturer must be observed.

Rapeseed Oil Raffinate

Rapeseed raffinate is degummed and deacidified crude oil which can be used directly as vegetable oil fuel or as feedstock for the production of solvents, surfactants, cosmetics, biodegradable oils and lubricants.

The production process of BIO-ÖLWERK Magdeburg GmbH guarantees the oil quality according to DIN V 51605, which will be reviewed continuously in its own laboratories.

Refined Glycerine

In the transesterification of vegetable oil to biodiesel crude glycerine arises as byproduct. It contains undesirable organic substances and is colored yellow. Crude glycerine is refined by cleaning and bleaching in pharmaceutical glycerine. This in turn creates small quantities of technical glycerine.

Because of it's good ability to bind water, refined glycerine is mainly used in the cosmetic industry and medicine.

Rapeseed Cake

Rapeseed cake are press residues, which arise in the extraction of oil. One metric ton of rapeseed contains 650 - 670 kg of rapeseed cake.

The rapeseed cake, rich of energy and proteins, is a valuable feed for cattle, pigs and poultry. The high phosphorus content increases the feeding value for young cattle, milk cows and beef cattle and contributes to the fertility of the animals.
